The International Cat Care charity is dedicated to creating a cat friendly environment where every cat is treated with respect and understanding. Each member of our team has developed a cat-friendly approach, and each of us is empathetic with cats and how stressful it can be for them to visit the vets! We have a proactive approach when it comes to being a cat-friendly clinic, with each of our staff members undergoing continuing professional development in all things cat-care!
At Arena, we aim to keep your cats visit as stress-free as possible! We keep our feline patients separate from our canine patients, meaning we have our very own waiting room, consult room and hospital area especially for cats. Our cat waiting area is equipped with a perch and blankets for the carrier to be placed off the floor and covered to minimize stress! The consult and hospital area are equipped with all the necessary equipment, meaning there is no cross-over between our feline and canine patients. We also have the option of a 30-minute consult if you wish to avail of this. This longer consult allows your pet time to adapt to the veterinary environment and allows the vet some extra time to slowly approach your pet for the clinical exam etc. and not cause any extra stress, this can be especially useful for our particularly nervous pets!
